This application was built as an administration console for the Texas Department of Public Safety. It allows them to manage users in some of their external systems. This is a private application, hence only showing the login page. This application was built in 2004.

I designed this application from the ground up. The logo for DPS and for TexasOnline were the only provided graphics. The color scheme, well... red, white and blue is often the requested color scheme from state agency clients. What can I say, the client is always right, n'est-ce pas? I tried to tie in the yellow in the DPS logo star, though not matching, at least it coordinates. The stars in the banner are another attempt to tie the logo into the design. The design of this application is a little dated. I hadn't yet mastered the concept of keeping page elements together as evidenced by the copyright and logos being on the far edges of the screen. On a wide resolution, it looks broken up and not well kept together.

The XHTML is valid and semantic. The application is accessible and highly usable. While not perfect, the application works well and I am proud enough of it to put it on my portfolio (until I come up with something better).
